Dr. Racin is an experienced Adult, Adolescent, and Child Psychiatrist with private practices located in both Brookline and Newton, Massachusetts. She completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Tufts New England Medical Center and Adult Psychiatry Residency at the Medical College of Virginia (VCU).  Dr. Racin is Board Certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is an active member of the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  Unlike other psychiatrists, Dr. Racin dedicates all her time to her outpatient practice to ensure the highest quality of care to all her patients.

Dr. Racin offers diagnostic psychiatric evaluations, medication consultations, medication management alone or in combination with therapy, and various individual psychotherapeutic services across the lifecycle. She works closely with each person to establish a strong therapeutic alliance and appropriate treatment plan that is unique to each person. With a warm and trusting relationship, difficult emotions can be expressed and explored. One of her specialities is helping victims of trauma to recover and rebuild equilibrium.  She has written an article and presented her research on childhood PTSD treatments.

Psychotherapy is employed during each treatment session and collaboration with pediatricians, teachers, or primary care physicians improves her understanding and clinical outcomes. In addition to a variety of individual therapies, Dr. Racin offers counseling for couples and families, second opinions, one-time consultation appointments, guidance for other health professionals, school consultation and educational services.

Areas of specialization and interest include: ADHD, Learning Disorders, Depression, Infertility, Post-Partum Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Grief and Loss, Parenting and Family Conflict, Relationship Issues, Stress Management, Self Esteem, Spirituality, Phobias, Panic Attacks, Adoption, Coping Skills, Immigration and Acculturation, and Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transsexual Issues.

Dr. Racin has created a practice that she believes in and would choose for her own family members. She is a dedicated physician who believes in working with children, adolescents, and adults to maintain and improve their health.
